Athina-Maria Mavridou graduated in 2004 from the Dental School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In 2008, she completed a postgraduate program in Endodontics at Ghent University in Belgium.
From 2010 to 2021, she was a PhD and postdoctoral researcher at the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in Belgium, conducting research on external cervical resorption. Simultaneously, she worked as an endodontist at the specialized clinic Proclin Rotterdam in the Netherlands. From 2021 to 2023, she served as a visiting professor at Ghent University in Belgium.
Athina has received several awards for her publications in the field of external cervical root resorption, including ‘Best Clinical Research Award’ from the Journal of Endodontics (JOE) (2017) and ‘Honorable Mention Award’ from the Journal of Endodontics (JOE) (2018).
Since 2022, she has been an Assistant Professor of Endodontics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She also runs her private clinic, EndoToday, located in Rhodes, Greece.
