“Matrices for Core Buildups"
  
Our effort of maximizing the retention of natural teeth does not end with traditional endodontic therapy. The placement of an intracoronal restoration has been shown to improve the overall prognosis of endodontically treated teeth. Most often, completing the “coronal endodontics” is best executed immediately after obturation and while the tooth is still isolated from external contaminants. This short presentation will provide information from various core matrix systems, materials, and techniques.
  
Attendees will learn:
  1. The benefits of immediate restoration after endodontic treatment.
  2. How to overcome the challenges of restoring teeth with significant loss of tooth structure.
  3. Matrix systems useful for both anterior and posterior teeth as well as options for restoration when traditional systems are ineffective.
