“Collaborate for Excellence in Restorative Endodontics"

I will share my journey, taking over a traditional "endodontics only" practice into a restorative-conscious one, navigating the challenges, growth opportunities, and hard-earned lessons along the way.

When I took over the practice, it and the local community operated in a world of 'cotton & cavit,' with little connection between restorative and endodontics. However, the role of the endodontist has evolved in recent years to include restorative means of impacting long-term survival. This shift brings both new opportunities and responsibilities.

Major Topics:
We will discuss legacy concepts of restorative Endodontics and the failings of these concepts. We will discuss opportunities for continual growth as restorative Endodontists. We will discuss how to nurture the referral relationship in a mutually beneficial way.

Learning Objectives:
  1. We will learn techniques to build trust with restorative/referring dentists.
  2. We will identify biases I had to overcome and techniques I had develop to improve patient restorative based endodontic outcomes.
  3. We will understand the opportunity endodontists have to establish themselves as stakeholders and experts in restorative dentistry.
