“A Case Series of Hemisections"
 
This presentation will discuss a case series of hemisections completed in both a military and private practice setting.
 
 
Major Topics:
 
This presentation will discuss indications for considering a hemisection as part of a treatment plan. The presentation will outline the methodology and fundamentals of the procedure through clinical photos and images obtained during treatment.
   
Learning Objectives: 
  1. Obtain an understanding of when hemisection is a viable and appropriate treatment option.
  2. Become familiar with the surgical and restorative phases of hemisections.
  3. Learn how to incorporate hemisections into your practice.

Dr. Massey is a member of the American Association of Endodontics and a diplomate of the American Broad of Endodontics. He has no commercial interests in any products.
 
About the Presenter:  
Dr. Massey attended Texas Tech University for his undergraduate degree and then completed dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston Dental School.
After dental school, Dr. Massey served in the US Army Dental Corps for eight years. During his military service, he completed a twelve-month AEGD and then practiced general dentistry for two years while stationed in Germany. He then attended the US Army Endodontic Residency at Ft. Bragg, NC and graduated in 2020. He obtained board certification in 2022. Dr. Massey served for three more years while stationed at Fort Polk, LA before returning to his home state of Texas to join a private practice.
