Myofascial pain often mimics endodontic pain. Differentiating between the two is difficult. Often, these two types of pain occur in tandem. Myofascial pain is also commonly confused with post-operative flare-ups.
The ability to recognize and treat acute myofascial pain will increase your diagnostic accuracy. It will also dramatically reduce the frequency of your post-operative flare-ups. This presentation will give a brief etiology of myofascial pain, diagnostic cues, and management considerations.
Attendees will:
- Understand myofascial pain and how it presents.
- Understand the link between myofascial pain and post-op flare-ups.
